Introduction

I have received my B.Sc degree from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics in Gebze Technical University. In the same university, I have received M.Sc degrees from Bioinformatics and Systems Biology Program under Bioengineering Department in addition to the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. In the scope of my theses, I investigated the effect of the induced stringent response on antibiotic production in Streptomyces coelicolor through in vitro approaches. Furthermore, I worked on identification of the putative drug targets in Klebsiella pneumoniae through in silico gene- and metabolite-centric approaches.

I am currently a Ph.D candidate and Research Assistant in the Department of Bioengineering in the Gebze Technical University. I keep my studies on metabolism-centered systems biology under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tunahan Çakır.
